How do we get to make them?

If so, what had to happen before we made our first?

ENERGY

Energy doesn’t do arguments.
Instead, energy invents and creates.
More choices than any word-user can handle.
Since the beginning of words that energy invented, our ancestors invented the word-accelerators.

INTELLIGENCE

We measure our own IQ.
Why don’t we measure energy’s IQ instead?
Schools teach it’s the sane thing to do.
Why do schools not teach the insane thing is being done instead?

CHOICES

Energy has created more choices than the word-users can handle.
For us to make more choices means making more words.
It’s the only way.
But look at what words have done to us and the wordless.
What the wordless want, they’re not saying for self-evident reasons, they don’t have words to say it with.
The word-users want more of the same.
Are you one of them?

DECISIONS

From more choices than we can handle, we make decisions.
It’s our decisions, not our choices, that determine our destiny.
Choices have got nothing to do with it.

RESPOND

Every decision you made, make, and will make, is about how you respond.
A decision for itself has no raison d’être.

WHAT YOU WANT

When you know what you want, the decision on how to respond is already made.

All kinds of things are being said about decisions.

Depending on what is saying them.

What you believe is a question of character and personal preference.

To each their own.

Decisions, part 2

Just as our children begin before they are born, so our decisions begin before they are made.

Before DECISION even appears on the scene, the stars on the stage are ENERGY, INTELLIGENCE, and CHOICE.

ENERGY

Energy cannot be destroyed.

Meanwhile, it creates and invents.

Non-stop.

As far as we can tell, it creates and invents since the beginning of itself.

Like it or not, it is outside of the word-users’ control.

Energy doesn’t need the word-users, but we need it, not because we’re free, but because energy was there first.

Energy, part 2

On planet Earth, energy has been around for 99.9997% of the time that Earth has been around (Earth-Time).

In fact, energy invented Earth.

Words and we — the word users — have been around for the most recent 0.0003% of the time on Earth only.

Makes you wonder how energy has managed…

  • without words
  • without us
  • without a day at school

…for 99.9997% of Earth-time.

Or doesn’t it?

It has us wondering at the same time, of course, how in nothing but 0.0003% of the time on Earth, the words and word-users have mismanaged Earth into its current state.

Doesn’t it?

Energy, part 3

  • In the solar system, the sun is energy in the form of 90% hydrogen.
  • The mass of the sun is estimated at 1.989 x 10^30 kg, meaning 99.8% of the solar system is energy.
  • The word-users often mistake the sun and solar system for the universe, energy, or gods.

I have no idea why that is.

But I suspect it’s enough energy and water the future generations of word-users will ever need — provided the energy doesn’t disappear first.

Be it as it may, the energy has us wishing for the serenity to accept what we cannot change, the courage to change what we can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Energy, part 4

Energy invented the planet, the cells, the plants, the animals, the eyes, the brains, the words, and the word-users — that is you and me.

Without a day at school, how did energy know?

Naturally, we ask whether energy is good, better, best, thorough, creative, perfect, bad, a mistake, or an accident.

Energy only knows.

Either way, our ancestors used the energy in turn, to invent the word accelerators…

…as well as more fictional figures than anyone can handle.

The fictional figures invented by us include the Mad Hatter, gods, Santa Claus, James Bond, Little Red Riding Hood, Superwoman, Frankenstein, and countless others.

At the end of the word-accelerators, formerly known as the world wide web, the internet now gobbles up and spits out more words faster than anything invented for that purpose before.

What next is every word-user’s guess.

To each their own.

Energy, part 5

Energy doesn’t do arguments.

Arguments take word-users that learn words from their at the schools the parents, preachers, and teachers built.

We’re the only animal that builds schools…

  • …to learn words
  • …to ensure we understand the stories told by parents, preachers, and teachers.

INTELLIGENCE

Energy invented us, rather than the other way ‘round.

Yet we measure our IQ instead of the energy’s.

How many examples do you know of a less intelligent thing measuring the intelligence of a more intelligent thing?

CHOICES

Some word-users far less intelligent than energy accuse energy of having done a shoddy job creating evolution.

If that were true, all clouds would be identical, all nuts hazel, all birds swans, all flowers roses, all words the first, and all word-users would know the story of words.

But every word-user with eyes to see can see that the opposite is true.

Energy has invented more choices than word-users can handle.

Between 1.2 million and 155 billion English words, among which:

  • 10 numbers
  • 12 music note systems
  • 45 ibilities
  • 118 elements
  • 254 abilities
  • 300 feelings
  • 391,000 plants
  • 2,130,000 animals
  • Plenty of great ideas to learn from and copy
  • Millions of well-executed projects with their steps on display
  • Billions of words not mentioned above
  • Infinite numbers of dreams

 

  • Depending on what you ask and trust
  • With more added as we speak
  • Not counting the non-English words

A highway of diamonds with hardly anyone on it.

Choices, part 2

Some famous word-users are working hard to make you believe that you make choices.

Unless you invent more words, that’s impassable, and if the most recent 0.0003% of Earth-Time are anything to go by, inventing more words is inventing more of the same.

When in the beginning was the word, the number of words was 1 (one).

13,750 years later, the number of words is between 1.2 million and 155 billion.

Depending on what you ask.

See where millions of words have gotten us?

DECISIONS

You make decisions.

100% of the time.

When you don’t decide, you have already made a decision.

That’s because no decision is also a decision.

Some say that’s impossible.

They’re saying the same thing.

There is a war…

…between the genders
…between the rich and the poor
…between the liars and the honest
…between the left and right
…between the black and white
…between the odd and the even
…between the ones that say there is a war and the ones that say there isn’t
…to name a few

What wants more of the same?

Gimme a break.

Decisions, part 3

Every decision ever made was about how we respond to what’s going on within and without.

RESPOND

Everything we know is a word, so everything we respond to are words.

Makes you wonder what the wordless respond to, doesn’t it?

Your journey, your age, and your responses have in common that they are seasonal.

Your responses can look different depending on the season you’re in.

Pay attention to that and you’ll make better responses.

TAKEAWAY

Not paying attention to your decisions is like not paying attention to your stars in the full sun.

They’re there just the same.

Lies

Before the day is over, someone will want you to believe a lie, such as the lie that decision-making is complicated, complex, multifaceted, and hard.

But that’s nothing but that liar’s words.

It doesn’t apply to you.

Believe Bruce Lee instead.

At least he knows what he’s talking about.

Decisions are neither complicated, complex, multifaceted, nor hard — when you know what you want. ­

On the contrary, when you know what you want, the right decision can create certainty for you in an uncertain world for others.

The common mistake

The common mistake word-users make with decisions is deciding them over and over again.

If that’s you, your decisions are depicted on the right.

If so, your decisions are destined to wear you out in the long run.

Right wrong

If you spend more time on making the wrong decisions right than on making the right decisions, you’re deciding it wrong.

Outstanding long-term results are produced primarily by avoiding wrong decisions in the first place, rather than by making the right ones.

Pay attention to that and you’ll make better decisions.

Besides, dwelling on the wrong will only wear you out in the long run.

The solution?

Make fewer decisions!

Big small

Decisions come in BIG and SMALL.

And in WHAT and HOW.

Decide the BIG and WHAT first.

Then all it takes is the courage it takes to follow through and to forget about the rest until it’s time for the SMALL and HOW.

I’m not saying that’s the solution.

All I’m saying is give BIG and WHAT a chance.

When I decided to write THE ORIGIN OF HUMANITY, I had no clue it would take six years to complete.

But it was a BIG decision about WHAT.

I’m glad I did and never looked back for you can’t win with a losing hand.

Good bad

All decisions feel good at the time.

Because it’s difficult to predict the future.

We only realize what is wrong with hindsight.

Then we wonder what caused it.

  • Poor information?
  • Shoddy analysis?
  • Peer pressure?
  • Manipulation?
  • Hustle?
  • Power imbalance?
  • Focus on the short run?
  • Indoctrination?
  • Superstition?
  • Unexamined biases?

Don’t ask “Is this a good decision?”

Ask “When?”

Crisis

Is a crisis brewing?

That’s good!

If you hadn’t survived every crisis to date, with a 100% success rate to boot, you wouldn’t be here.

With your back against the wall, you don’t decide based on what you know. With no way out, you decide based on what you re-member only.

The good thing about crises is that they are devastating only if you believe that they will last forever.

Yet you know they never do.

The proof’s in the pudding: You’re here still.

Why wait for a crisis?

You can focus on a small sphere and achieve a 100% success rate anytime.

If that’s what you want.

Seek advice

When faced with a difficult decision, don’t be afraid to seek advice within and without you.

Be careful when a naked device offers you a shirt, even though even a smartphone may offer advice you haven’t heard of before.

Key

Re-member that decisions are all up to you.

No other word or other word-user can decide for you.

There’s no candle in the window.

When it’s about decisions, you must find your own way home.

Conclusion

What will you do with all the energy and time freed in your head, hands, and feet now?

Imagine the end

Imagine the end, when everything is done and over with.

At the risk of repeating myself, imagine you being dead.

Implied in you now dead is things have changed.

The easiest thing to do when faced with things have changed — which brings fear, is usually how it works —  is to decide to become cynical or hope that the change you fear is nothing but a fad, soon to disappear.

The possibilities of you being dead are infinite.

Maybe a meteorite slammed into your house, or the sun exploded, or you died of the myriad other possible causes, to name a few.

Of course, as long as you imagine your own death, it hasn’t happened yet.

The rest of this post

We’re all in the story of you together.

Each of us was born Before Words — without words, wordless — and when our time has come, we’ll die After Words — wordless, without words again.  There’s no way around it.

Words are a circle game. Wordless we originate and wordless we die.

Even our ancestors were in this story of you together — 13,750 years ago, when the age was stone, the Sahara green, Northern Europe under 1-mile-thick ice, and writing hadn’t been invented yet.

There’s no exception in the past and there isn’t any now.

Words accompany us only after when we learn them, between the ages of 1 to 6, and until before we breathe our last breath.

Naturally, it’s not just about the story of you.

There are three stories that each contain a Before Words and After Words.

  • THE STORY OF EARTH
  • THE STORY OF WORDS
  • THE STORY OF YOU

You are free to believe the three stories above aren’t connected of course. But if you do, that means you also accept the attendant consequence. In other words, you preclude yourself from understanding words.

Because whenever you pick up one end of the stick, you pick up the other.

Since we’re talking about stories, don’t let me be misunderstood.

Whether a story happened or not doesn’t matter a Dickie bird. All that matters it’s believed.

THE STORY OF EARTH — of which there are multiple, depending on who you ask — everybody knows or has heard about it because it’s been told for thousands of years in families, kindergartens, churches and schools all over the world.

In stark contrast to that, no word-user knows THE STORY OF WORDS for the simple reason that THE STORY OF WORDS hasn’t been told for thousands of years in families, kindergartens, churches, and schools.

In fact, THE STORY OF WORDS is not told anywhere except in THE ORIGIN OF HUMANITY (218 pages) and now — in abbreviated form — here.

If THE STORY OF WORDS were told, it’d be the end of the richest organizations in the world.

The richest organizations in the world have known that in the beginning is the word from the start. They’ve lied about it for thousands of years with no end in sight.

While that’s a different story altogether, it more than explains why the vast majority of word-users see THE STORY OF WORDS told for the first time — albeit in abbreviated form — here, as we speak.

Upon hearing THE STORY OF WORDS, the majorty of word-users are surprised that both THE STORY OF EARTH (see below) and THE STORY OF YOU (see above) contain a Before Words and an After Words.

For the sake of telling the entire story of words, let me also add those parts that most word-users are familiar with, given that their stories are sometimes also told.

“Word accelerators” means that just as the chicken was the egg’s idea for getting more eggs, so the word-users are the word’s idea for getting more words.

The latest in the chain of word accelerators, the world-wide-web — also known as the internet — currently gobbles up, stores, and disseminates more words faster than anything invented for that purpose before.

What have words got to do with you?

Because the story of words isn’t often told, it’s unlikely you’ve ever asked…

  • “What is humanity?”
  • “What is human?”
  • “What is you?”

But that’s not all.

Looking for an answer is only the first step.

It also depends on what you ask.

Smartphone-internet-AI

If you ask your smart phone, the internet, or AI (the three are now the same), they’ll tell you that…

  • “Humanity is the collective characteristics, qualities, and behaviors that define humans.”
  • “Human refers to a member of the homo sapiens.”
  • “You is an AI language model developed by OpenAI.”

Think I’m kidding, aren’t you?

Well, I couldn’t help you to this much bullpoop and balatant lies if I tried. Worst of all, if I did, I’d be the first to know.

Your world-wide-web, smart phone, and AI don’t lie because for that they don’t have the organs required.

To lie takes a liar, that is a word-user who programs the world-wide-web, internet, smartphone, and AI to lie.

Because the word-users cannot describe the world and themselves, they can only describe how they see the world and themselves.

How do you think homo sapiens came about?

If you ask you about you, it’s unlikely that you’ll answer the question with another question, namely with…

“Have you ever thought of you as a word?”

If you’ve read “Word is great, beautiful, and oh so fascinating“, then you know that you couldn’t be anything else if it tried — a word.

In other words, I think we’re not asking the right questions.

I also think it’s time.

If not now, then when?

You, part 2

If you don’t know what you de-scribes, that means you don’t know you.

In China you is 你 and in France it is tu.

Therefore, if you say “You” to a Chinese or French child, it won’t understand. It won’t know what you’re talking about.

I don’t know you nor the children you might be talking to.

But I know words, you included.

On that I give you my word.

Describe

Unless words describe, they don’t mean a thing to anyone.

But to de-scribe doesn’t take words, it takes scribes.

Naturally, the scribes will always be word-users.

Word-users are animals that learned words at school.

Word-users

The word-users — you and me — have been busy de-scribing ourselves, and how we see the world, since the beginning of words. Not because there are any alternatives, but because there’s never been another way from the start.

As the saying goes, in the beginning is the word.

We do this because we’re the only specie on planet Earth with a Before Words and an After Words.

Simply put, we, the word-users, have words and the wordless — including the tea pots, mountains, plants, animals, and fictional figures such as Peter (the rabbit), gods, James Bond, piglet, and pooh, to name a few — don’t.

At the risk of repeating myself, I think we don’t ask the right questions.

Why do we name ourselves humanity, human, or homo sapiens?

Why don’t we instead name the animals human or homo sapiens?

When the lies told for thousands of years will finally be stopped, THE STORY OF WORDS can be told instead.

THE STORY OF WORDS

THE STORY OF WORDS tells…

…that the first to speak the first word on Earth — our ancestors — were animals (presumably with eyes and brains).

Animals

We have the same lifecycle as other animals.

  • We manage energy as animals manage theirs.
  • We drink, we eat, and we eliminate as animals drink, eat, and eliminate.
  • As any other animal, our parents mate, then we’re born, we learn to walk, we grow, and we mate in turn.
  • But that’s not all.
  • Then our parents die, all our friends die, and we die in turn.

But we’re animals with difference.

We have words and they — the other animals, plants, cells, water, earth, air, and fire — don’t.

That explains why stories made of words will always glorify the word-users.

Always have and always will.

It’s the only way.

Beyond the shadow of a doubt.

Call it a dream, it doesn’t change anything.

The boy with the wishful eyes

Back when the ponies ran, when the girls were young and the odds were there to beat, my little personal winning streak ended as it had begun, naturally, without my being aware of it.

Why me?

Why not someone else who deserved it?

My winning streak ended like a black-feathered bird bursting the sky had landed on me.

With no odds to beat left, the only thing I clearly see is my journey on a downward spiral.

It feels like in the dead of night. I’m at the steering wheel of a speeding car crashing down a steep ravine. Trees out of nowhere in the car’s headlights. With nothing left but a single wish, the wish to survive even if it costs me my life

After the crashing down comes to a halt, there’s nothing left but me and a gate Bob Dylan built.

I’m on the outside of the gate.
On the inside is a devil my neighbors, preachers, and teachers want me to believe.
There’s nothing else and nobody else near, so I can tell what I’m supposed to believe is looking at me.
What does it want?
I have no clue.
Perhaps a piece of me?
Could it be my heart?

You think I’m kidding, aren’t you?
Well, I’m not kidding at all.
Instead, I do a u-turn never to re-turn again.
I’ve once seen a torero perform u-turns before a bull.
When the bull was dead I vomited wishing the torero were dead instead.

Don’t give up

In this world of never-ending responses to more information than any word-user can handle — but that’s nevertheless a mere walk in the park for the wordless fire, wind, earth, and water — it ain’t easy to be the master of your moments.

All I’m saying is it doesn’t have to be that hard.

The minute we decide to not give up, we muster unexpected strengths to accepting the world as it is, not as we wished it were. With the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, the courage to change the things we can, and the wisdom to know the difference, the walk in the park can at least be imagined.

But without a strong why, it is difficult to persevere.

Why

Without a strong why, standing out from the majority of word-users can be a daunting task, but without it, you’re a part of what you don’t want to be a part of.

If you don’t have a strong why to begin with, the decision to never give up feels like climbing a mountain.

What happens when you get a pebble in your shoe? Do you give up?

If so, this post isn’t for you.

A compelling why is essential, but you don’t yet know if it’ll be enough to overcome the obstacles on your journey. To find out, you’ve got to take the first step knowing you’ll never give up. Come rain or shine, keep a close eye on what the other captains do, not for knowledge, but it helps.

When you keep your word, many decisions are already made.

When you don’t lie, you don’t have to remember anything.

On this proud planet we grew up strong, wanted, needed, taught to compete, to fight, and to win.

With no fight left, we never thought it possible to either fall or fail.

A word-user whose dreams have all deserted, I changed my words, my face, my name.

No one wants you when you lose.

Don’t give up

Because you’re not beaten yet. You have friends. You know you are the elements. You know you are the wordless fire, wind, earth, and water, knowing full well you can do as good as they can.

You see it all around you, thinking you’d be last to go.

You never imagine that you could be affected.

The way things turn is so magical.

I returned at night toward my home, the place where I was born, on the lakeside.

As daylight broke, I saw the earth as though for the first time.

Bursting the sky arrives a black vulture, wings spread. I see it circling, close, with eyes of rubies and feathers the colour of night. A forehead of a thousand lights, a blue diamond for a crown.

With a rustle of its wings, the vulture lands.

The trees burned down to the ground.

Don’t give up

You still have us.

We don’t need much of everything. Where would we put it anyway?

Somewhere there’s a place where we belong. Somewhere there’s a place where you can rest your head.

Let it be. You worry too much. It’s going to be alright.

When the going gets rough, you can fall back on us.

Don’t give up

Got to find the way out of here.

Perhaps there’s a path less traveled, a path least traveled naturally.

I can’t take anymore. A headlong circle game standing on that bridge right here keeping my eyes down below, watching where all rivers flow, yet the sea isn’t full.

Found the way out of here to another country. As if things hadn’t changed, for every job so many word-users. So many word-users no-one needs.

They’re calling for workers, word-users come, thanks to the schools the word-users built.

Much water has gone under the bridge. Much other stuff at the same time.

Things haven’t changed. Every truth adds up to a big lie.

The answers blowing in the wind, no candles in the window, you’re not the only one.

You still have us.

There’s no reason to be anything you’re not. There’s no reason to feel guilty.

Please don’t give up

You have friends.

We’re proud of what you are, what you do, what you don’t, what you have, and what you have not.

From personal experience you know it’s never been easy.

You also know it’s never going to be this hard ever again.

There’s a place where you belong.

There’s a place where we belong.

I believe it.

Call it a dream.

It does not change anything

Epic journey from birth to death

Everybody and everything invests their energy and time to experience an epic journey between birth and death.

Free from restraints.

Full of abundance and joy.

Case in point, I’m writing this post on a rainy day from my office that’s part of my apartment in Switzerland. I wouldn’t do anything that meant I couldn’t spend my days here whenever I felt like it.

Do a bunch of sales calls and make an extra few Swiss Francs? Not if it meant I couldn’t be here at 10:30am on a Thursday morning.

So why is it that the majority of word-users talk about making more money?

Surely we should spend just as much of our energy and time thinking about our lifestyle –- using the money as a means to create the lifestyle of our dreams. As opposed to the other way round. Not unless you want your money to run your lifestyle.

I’m not saying you should optimise your journey in some horrid Tim Ferriss kind of way. All I’m saying is simply pursue the journey you’re already on in whatever damn way you decide.

In the past, I didn’t think like this

For many years, I was guided by something I wanted seemingly more than anything else.

More

Before I knew it, or so it seems now in hindsight, I couldn’t tell you what I wanted more of exactly.

I just wanted more.

Money, time, traffic, subscribers, writing, published books — more, more, more — it felt like the chains of additiction, too light to be felt until they are too heavy to be broken.

Not having learned active noticing yet, I turned a blind eye on the fact that more only got me into the habit of never being satisfied.

Perhaps it’s because I’m naturally ambitious, or because I never had any success or money growing up to write home about. Either way, I just got into the habit of always needing more overall.

This was a downward spiral, beyond the shadow of a doubt, as I was to find out just before it was too late to find out anything.

Never satisfied with anything is a bad place to be. Worse – because I hadn’t yet learned to envision a different future to aim for — there would never be an end to this curse of more.

When you always want more, how do you keep score?

As a result, I spent more years than I care to remember suffering from anxiety in different forms.

Follow your bliss

It was Joseph Campbell who first helped me resolve this, by talking about follow your bliss and that attachment is the root of all suffering

It took me a while to understand this.

Attachment to what?

Well, I eventually understood that to go from A to B, you must let go of A .

To follow your bliss, you must let go of what you’re attached to first.

It’s like a new bed. You’ve got to get rid of your old bed first.

What I eventually began to realise was that I thought of follow my bliss as something I would undertake in the future, just as soon as I was ready and just as long as no distractions were allowed to happen in between.

This lasted until I realised that the most important thing about the future is that it is not the present.

It follows that an epic journey of abundance and joy is right now, in the present.

Or to put it another way:

The present is the secret to abundance and joy

Only who is in the present exists eternally.

It takes accepting the world as it is, not as you wished it were, which cannot be done yesterday nor tomorrow. The present is the only way.

Now, I know that all sounds like a bunch of woo-woo nonsense.

But what I can tell you from personal experience, as opposed to from hearsay, is that I feel abundance and joy when I’m writing in my center of town office at 10:30am on a Thursday morning.

It’s easy to be present here.

It’s easy to accept the world as it is.

Wherever it is that you can be present — take it seriously

Don’t dismiss it.

On your journey, do whatever it takes to allow you to spend all your energy and time where you are right now as you’re reading these lines.

In the present.

You won’t regret it.

Word is great, beautiful, and oh so fascinating that some readers might expect it to be true.

Well, word is even greater, beautifuller, and fascinatinger than that.

Among the fascinating features of words is that’s what you’re looking at since this article began to the end, from its headline to its takeaway, and of course everything in between — nothing but words.

You can see them but you cannot touch ’em

As you read on, should you mistake my use of words to contain any truths, relax, it‘s a common mistake that happens in the best of families.

There are no truths here to be found.

The only thing you’ll find here are words.

More than a thousand in fact.

What you do with them is all up to you.

You’re in control.

Truth

All the truth in the world adds up to one big lie.

If despite this you believe what’s told at kindergartens, schools, and universities, that means you’re among the many who believe in a beginning without an end.

That means you believe in the beginning is a big bang, a fictional character, or a mystery.

Though a beginning without an end is impossible, you won’t be arrested by the police. On the contrary, it only means that like the police you’re part of the majority.

Only if you’re part of the minority do you practice active noticing of what’s going on within you and without you.

Only a minority of word-users know how within you and without you began.

In the beginning is the word

That in the beginning is the word can be denied only by confirming it.

In other words, you cannot deny a word without using it.

But even so, a question remains for those of you who find it hard to believe in a beginning you may not have heard about or thought of previously.

“In the beginning of what?”

Naturally, the answer is “In the beginning of everything you have a word for.”

Other than that?

Other than in the beginning of everything we have a word for, what else is word?

Before you can even begin to understand word, there are two steps you might find hard to take.

  • Accept there is a difference between what word is, what word does, and what word has.
  • Accept there’s no difference between word and words.

In singular and plural they is/are, does/do, and has/have the identical.

When you accept that word and words are the same, you then also understand that how one word works is how all words work.

You are naturally free to not accept the two steps most word-users find hard to take, if at the same time you also accept that you won’t understand word and words in exchange.

You may even ask why which words allow given that why is among them.

One step at a time: Words ARE

Words are the latest in the chain of inventions made by the four elements — fire, wind, earth, and water — that also invented the planet, the cells, the plants, the animals, the eyes and the brains, before they proceded to also invent the words and us, the word-users.

I hear you.

“If so, how can the word be in the beginning?”

The word is in the beginning of words, also known as in the beginning of the After Words, and in the end of wordless, also known as in the end of the Before Words.

Put differently, the word is in the beginning of everything you know.

Everything you know

You know beginning because you know what beginning describes.
You know Mount Everest because you know what Mount Everest describes.
You know screw because you know what screw describes.
You know driver because you know what driver describes.
You know tool because you know what tool describes.

And so it is with everything you know.

What else?

Maybe the fact that the word is in the beginning (of everything you have a word for) doesn’t answer every question you might have about words.

Perhaps one more question remains at the back of what many word-users consider the back of your mind (whatever that is supposed to be).

“What else can you show me?”

Well, In addition to in the beginning, words are a tool.

Like any tool, words can work for you or they can kill you.

But that has got nothing to do with the tool. It all depends on what you do with it.

It’s not the word. It’s the user.

You’re in control.

Keep your word and many decisions are already made

In that sense, the word is no different to your ears, eyes, brains, hands, hair, and feet.

You are in control.

Better act as if, or you will be constantly getting in your own way which will wear you out in the long run.

Or “assume the virtue if you have it not” (William Shakespeare).

And so it is with words.

A word by any other name is still a word.

The origin of feel

Feel has fascinated the word-users ever since one of our ancestors described with feel what s/he saw for the first time 750 years ago.

We do not know what our ancestor described. The reason is simple. The witnesses are gone and the English dictionary hadn’t been invented yet.

I’m talking about the word-users as opposed to the wordless.

Because to the wordless — also known as nature — feel doesn’t make any difference as they don’t use words for self-evident reasons.

That said, when feel was invented 750 years ago, this happened just 0.00002% of the total 4,650,000,000 years ago when Earth was invented.

Put differently, feel didn’t exist during the first 99.99998% of Earth-Time.

How in the world did nature — the wordless — exist without it?

This is just 1 of the 1,001 questions remaining.

750 years later, in 2023, everbody can of course look up the origin of feel, its use, and how it is spelled on their smart phone thanks to the internet.

But all else is among the 1,001 open questions that remain shrouded in mystery to this day.

How it all began

The mystery of feel gets us back to how it all began.

In the beginning is the word.

Though the word is in the beginning, it doesn’t describe the world.

The word describes only how each word-user sees the world, and so it is with feel.

Feel is no exception

0.00002% of Earth-Time ago, when feel was new, how many varieties did its inventor offer to its word-users?

We shall never know for the dictionary hadn’t been invented yet and the witnesses have died.

What we do know is that feelings have been around for thousands of years.

Though much water has gone under the bridge since, we still describe feelings in much the same way as the Greeks described theirs 2,800 years ago — comedy, tragedy, and drama to name a few.

The gods have different colors and genders and have been renumbered, renamed, and remade, but how we describe feelings today remains unchanged.

I don’t know about you, but I find this suprising.

Be it as it may, thanks to the contstancy in feelings, as opposed to the inconstant gods, we still know what feelings have been felt 2,800 years ago.

Strangely enough, we may feel our feelings are ours. That only goes to show how wrong feelings can be.

Feelings are in fact everybody’s.

Feelings are shared.

It’s been that way since before the invention of words 13,750 years ago.

More than anyone can feel

In 2023, there are more feelings on offer, with more added as we speak, than any word-user can feel between birth and death.

Instead of letting you get pulled down in yet another rabbit hole of more than anyone can handle, remember what counts.

The important

The only important feeling are good and bad.

Feel good, or bad.

By the end of the day, that’s all that counts.

Before you go to sleep, forget the rest.

You’ll be happy you did on the morrow.

Good versus bad

You need a new feeling only if you’re unhappy now.

If you feel serene every time you wake up, you’ll never need another feeling.

Feel the weight off of your shoulders?

(Feeling) good is better than (feeling) bad for several good reasons.

  • When it’s time to decide between feelings and logic, feelings almost always win.
  • Your feelings aren’t decided by what’s going on without you.
  • If that were the case, all word-users would feel the same.
  • Your feelings are decided within you.
  • It’s what you feel, not what you think, that determines what you pursue and what you avoid later today.

We buy on feelings and justify with logic.

What you feel is in the beginning and at the end of each of your stories, and the cycle begins anew.

Decide

Decide once and for all what you want to feel about anything and any event.

By that I mean what you feel or may feel about the world, the state the world is in, you, life, your life, circumstances, accidents, surprises, sailing, shipwrecks, freedom (or the lack thereof), other word-users, worries, crises, and whatever else you can think of.

Come rain or shine, anything at all.

Then decide.

Once and for all is more important than the decision.

Decide to feel eager for the moment, optimistic for the future, confident in that you are exactly when and where you are for more good reasons than you can imagine. The feeling that precedes breakthroughs, conquests, and euphoria. The feeling that makes dark days lighter and light days brighter.

Yes! That feeling, the feeling of serenity.

Well, what are you waiting for?

It doesn’t just come to you because you ordered it.

You must give it to yourself.

No other word or word-user can do it for you.

The fast track

  • Decide to feel serene before you need it, ahead of time.
  • In the evening, decide to feel serene tomorrow.
  • Instead of planning your days by what to do, plan your days by feeling serene.
  • Avoid word-users that feel great by making others small.
  • Repeat twice daily.

Should what you feel now differ from what you wish to feel by the end of the day, simply feel the end of the day now.

I’m not saying that feelings should be the purpose of existence.

All I’m saying is give feelings a chance.

If you’re not familiar with the science of getting what you want, not to worry. It happens to the best of families.

Simply join the club of the unfamiliar and learn what the science of getting what you want is all about instead.

The science of getting what you want is not about the short attention spans we’re getting used to more than ever before or so it seems.

On the contrary, knowing the activities or topics that interest you, engage you, or even excite your passion for the short run is a waste of energy and time as the short will be over before the week is over and then you have to do it all over again.

Knowing what interests you, engages you and ignites your inner flame — the experience you deserve for the rest of your journey between birth and death — makes sense only if done for the long run, for your entire journey. You want it to last once and for all.

Many word-users that struggle with knowing what they want. For them, it feels like climbing a mountain.

I should know what climbing a mountain feels like for I’ve been among the confused for a long time myself.

Beyond every horizon there is always more to see, and so my activities, topics of interests, and passions changed accordingly.

Who buys a minute’s myrth to wail a week, or seeks eternity to get a toy?

I know from personal experience that the short run will only wear you out in the long run.

Finally, to get a grip on what I want beyond the shadow of a doubt, I’ve read the self-help books and attended the motivational speaker seminars so you don’t have to.

Now I’m a motivational coach myself that’s telling you that the science of getting what you want is not a mountain to climb.

On the contrary, it is effortless if you hang on to the end of this post.

Belief

What do you better accept about belief?

Well, you better accept that:

  • Nothing happens until it is believed
  • Nothing is believed until it’s true
  • The only one who can believe whether it is true (or not) is you
  • Nobody else can do it for you.

Nothing happens

When you envision what you want daily and you believe that it will manifest sooner or later with all your heart, and when in at least some small way you prepare for its arrival, yet still nothing happens, then you know as the stars above, that this won’t happen in a million years.

Once you have decided that you are eager enough to achieve what you want…

  • To be what you want to be
  • To do what you want to do
  • To have what you want to have

…means that you will take baby steps in the direction of what you deserve, rather than face another day without.

When it’s true that what you seek is seeking you, then you can’t help but open the floodgates.

The 5 hour rule

Many of the constant learners abide by the 5-hour rule:

  • 1 hour a day on every weekday.
  • Wake up early to read and write.
  • Set personal-growth goals and track the results.
  • Create/maintain a club for like-minded word-users that hope to help improve themselves and others.
  • Turn your ideas into experiments.
  • Plan your next day before you go to sleep the night before.

Each time the constant learners take time out of their busy days to follow the 5 hour rule, they accomplished less on that day. But in the long run it’s the best investment of the energy and time you can make.

What you want

To understand what you want, waking up was a good first step, highly recommended, but not enough.

We’re all in this together.

It takes more to know what you want.

To know what you want beyond the shadow of a doubt, you must learn active noticing, which includes active listening, because it is the quickest way to pay the bulk of your attention to noticing what’s happening within you and without you.

When you do, you clearly see or rediscover, as the case may be, that you’ve responded to your most pressing wants since before you arrived into this world.

The ability to respond

Not only have you responded to your most pressing wants since before you were born, you’re doing it now, 100% of the time, whether you know it, are aware of it, or like it or not, or you wouldn’t be here.

Therefore, it follows that to know what you want, all you you’ve got to do is figure out what your most pressing wants will be for the rest of your journey because the only way to influence the rest of your journey is by the decisions you’re making today.

One of the big benefits of knowing WHAT you want is that many HOW decisions are made already before they even have a chance to show up.

What you want, part 2

We all want our sugar sweet, our salt salty. In other words, everything you can want, and then some, is on a permanent buffet far beyond anything you can imagine. That’s because the buffet has got nothing to do with our fleeting existence. It’s been there for as long as anyone remembers.
From this buffet of infinite possibilities, you can want to…

  • Be somebody else (they’ve got to walk in their own shoes)
  • Be free
  • Own it all (where would you put it?)
  • Have everything money can buy
  • Have certainty (in an uncertain world)
  • Make the world a better place
  • Make you a better you
  • __________________________________________(fill the blank)

Nobody said it would be easy, but as you can clearly see, it isn’t hard either.

There is a space between each of your wants and your response. In this space you are free to decide your decision. That is where your freedom is.

You can even ask why, of course, that’s the beauty of freedom.

Never back down or compromise?

To get what you want, is it better to hold fast and never back down, or to compromise?

I think it’s best to hold fast when you can, and to compromise when you need to, but maybe that’s more than you asked for.

Simply do what’s right at the right time.

Step 1

The first step to getting what you want is having the courage to leave what you no longer want.

On top of that, it’s also wise never to ask another for what you want. Don’t ask me. Don’t even ask yourself. Just give thanks instead, in advance, as if you already had whatever the old you would have asked for.

Energy

Everything is energy.

Everything energy invented…

At the end of the chain of evolution, you explains why you respond 100% of the time, too. Like everything before you.

Like everything before you, the ability to respond is not something you had to learn.

On top of that, you’re 70% water.

An like the water before, you dance to music long before you know that it would later be a word.

We’re all in this together.

Communication techniques for achieving what you want

Communication is a fundamental aspect on your journey from birth to death. What do birth and death mean? What does what you want describe?

The most important communication by the use of words is with yourself. Other communication techniques are important too, but nothing trumps communicating what you want with yourself.

If you don’t love yourself, asking for somebody else to love you instead would be asking for the impossible which everybody knows isn’t fair.

The same applies to what you want. Expecting others to know what that is, would be disrespectful.

Actions speak louder than words

Non-verbal communication, such as body language and facial expressions, can have a significant impact on how what you want is perceived.

Pay attention to your non-verbal cues. Listen with a smile, concentrate on having fun, relax and maintain an open posture. By utilizing actions that speak louder than words, you can enhance how what you want is getting across to others.

Empathy

Developing empathy is crucial when aiming to get what you want in a friendly manner.

Put yourself in the other word-user’s shoes. By seeking to understand their motivations, concerns, and limitations, you show that you value their perspective and are willing to find mutually beneficial solutions.

Empathy fosters healthy relationships, making it easier to work towards your desired outcomes together.

Negotiation

Negotiations with yourself and others is often an integral part of getting what you want, especially when dealing with conflicting interests between you and the world.

However, negotiation does not have to be confrontational or adversarial.

By employing getting to yes negotiation skills, you can facilitate a win-win outcome that satisfies all parties involved, and the chances of you getting what you want.
