In the wordless world, fear doesn’t exist for self-evident reasons.
On the wordy side of the family tree, fear is only a letter away from ear, hear, and near, but while ear, hear, and near are only a few and far between, the fears are plentiful.
After thousands of years of promoting fear for selfish reasons, if need be with deadly force, fear is a global industry and the fear-buffet as rich as it has ever been. For the unlucky, just trying to figure out the right fear for the day can be a challenge.
Take a hint from the wordless.
“Not one sound fears the silence that extinguishes it.”
– John Cage
