Opposition I’ve heard to feeling.
Sometimes the opposition I hear to feelings is “Thinking beats feelings.”Other times it’s “What’s the difference between feeling and emotion?”In other words, opposition to feelings depends on what I’m listening or talking to. Feeling and emotion are different, and to say of two that they are identical is nonsense, and to say of one that it is identical with itself is to say nothing. Feelings I understand because I feel as we speak. Emotions I
Maybe it’s been a while since you last thought of… …what you have — as opposed to what you are and what you do. Did you make a list? If not, expect to be surprised by how long the list of you-haves is. In fact, it’s too long for a post. But not to worry. I’m working on a book called YOU that will address what you have in full. But until the YOU book
When is the last time you thought of what you DO? As promised by the headline, today’s post is… …about what you DO. YOU DO RESPOND TO STIMULUS You respond to stimulus is all you’ll ever do, even after you’re dead. For this, there are several reasons: Whether you like it or not. You’re not asked. You are energy. Energy doesn’t ask, is everywhere, and permanent, and responds to itself instead. To name a few.
When is the last time you thought of what you ARE? Today’s post is all about what you ARE. WHO & WHAT ARE YOU? For WHO you are — your paper identity — you’ve got your name, family, friends, school, and government. For WHAT you are — your genuine identity — you’ve got your family tree beginning with your ancestor, the animal that spoke the first words 13,750 years ago, when the age was stone,
To get better at not getting distracted, try the clock<>compass FRAMEWORK. I think the clock-compass framework is one of the best around. It consists of harmonising the urgent with the important. It centers on the timeless that was important long before the digital revolution, when hardly anyone knew burnout could be had. When the harmony between clock and compass is achieved, you can let go of the steering wheel. It’ll keep you on track from
Don’t know how to see you? Here’s an evergreen piece of advice. Do you have a hard time to see you for what it is? Here’s an evergreen piece of advice. If you already know that everything is a word, then I’m bringing you the equivalent of yesterday’s news, meaning you’re already eager to zap away. But if you don’t know words, do you sometimes come across opinions you don’t share? What do you do?
The little known way to see true and world in record time. True and world are words. This is hard to believe, and even harder to accept. I should know for it took me 23,000 days before I believed, and finally accepted it myself, in 2016: Everything you see, everything you have a word for, and everything you know, is word. Like every other child, you know from personal experience that you’ve arrived in this
From starting 13,750 years ago to billions in the blink of an eye. Something in evolution started with naught (zero) when the age was stone, the Sahara green, and Northern Europe under 1-mile-thick ice. Now, they’re billions. Haven’t guessed what I’m talking about? Talking about the number of words on planet Earth. There are not just billions of words on Earth, there are also 9 billions of us using them. I don’t call us human.
