Fear used to be my driving force.
Now I understand it’s because religion and science have one thing in common. They each instill fear. Of course, that’s not all they do. They also instill good.
If religion is right the world will explode. If science is right the end is near. Any minute now or further down the road. Whatever is right first.
I used to believe religion and science, hence believed fear was driving me.
I was fooled. As others have discovered in the past, you can’t win with a losing hand.
Now my driving force is gratitude for what I am, do, and have.
Don’t get me wrong, gratitude isn’t a constant. On the contrary, gratitude varies on a scale from 1 to 10. Some days it’s close to 1. Other days it’s 10.
Encore, don’t get me wrong. Fear and gratitude are words. Words are a gift we’re meant to keep. But they’re also a prison.
But even a prison is free when you have the key.
I can show you the key to words.
Whenever you’re ready.
Maybe now. Maybe later.

thank you for the nuance.. it makes me feel a little better now… although… still a lot to think about!!!
I agree with you completely. Nothing is ever white or black, it’s more nuanced than that, except when it’s about words and word-users. Words don’t possess organs. Word-users possess aplenty. Beyond the shadow of a doubt.
