1. Word addiction

Word-users are crazier for words than alcoholics for alcohol. The proof is in the pudding. When words were new, 550 generations ago, their total number was 1. Now in 2024, the number of words is between 1.2 million and 155 billion (say those who claim to have counted them all). Despite this, we claim that’s not enough. We want more of them. But if more is more, how do we keep score?

2. “Words are the most powerful drug used by mankind.”

What did Rudyard Kipling know, 101 years ago, that we ignore today? Did he know that when a resource can be used more efficiently, we end up using more of it instead, not less?
Have we forgotten?

3. Words are a gift we’re meant to keep.

We didn’t keep words as a gift. We made them a prison instead. Lucky for us, even a prison is free when you have the key. I can show you how.

Nothing’s impossible

Choice #1: You can thank the universe for your infinite passabilities to respond spontaneously. After all, the universe is as spontane as you are.

Choice #2: You can complain to the universe about the need to ponder over how to respond.

Decisions…decisions…

Everybody knows energy

Everybody knows a thing or two about energy.

But everybody doesn’t know what that means.

Everything has been created by energy.
And it’s energy that keeps us going now.

If everybody knew, we’d know that the brainless energy never spent a day at school, yet that it made us from scratch, brain included.
Though we’ll never know how.

The reason we don’t know how energy knows is because school — that energy never spent a day at — indoctrinates that the opposite is true.

  • “The school system is the homogenizing hopper into which we toss our integral tots for processing.” – Marshall McLuhan
  • “When I look back on all the crap I learned in high school, it’s a wonder I can think at all.” – Paul Simon

Despite this, you don’t wait for the energy to make your dreams come true. You know enough to use your energy and dreams instead.

“You have brains in your head and feet in your shoes, you can steer yourself any direction, you’re on your own, you know what you know, and you’re the one who’ll decide where you’ll go,” that is according to the late Theodor ‘Dr. Seuss’ Geisel.

Theodor ‘Dr. Seuss’ Geisel is best known for not lying and for writing and illustrating more than 60 children books that sold over 600 million copies instead.

He is also known to have said “Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple”.

That’s in stark contrast to the all-too many word-users that lie professionally.

Thank you Dr. Seuss.

Look in a mirror

Come on, it only takes a sec. What do you see?

Let me guess.
If you’re anything like me before, you expect to see a reflection of you. But what you actually see is what you is.

You is a word. In this case that word is you.

Let me guess again.
You never thought of you as a word before, didn’t you?

Well, you is no exception to the fact that everything you know is a word.

What’s unique about a word such as you is that it can be denied only by confirming. Put differently, you cannot use the word (you) without using it.

Expecting you to be anything different (than a word) presupposes that words have the organs required. But words don’t have any organs. The only ones with the organs required are you and me — the word-users.

Call it a dream, it doesn’t change anything.

In the meantime, think of you as a word.

You cannot lose, on which I give you my word.

Don’t sell yourself short

You sell yourself short if you continue to suffer when you have an emotional reaction to everything that is said to you.

When words control you, everything and everyone can control you. That is beyond the shadow of a doubt not where you want to be.

Power is sitting back and taking what’s going on with your eyes open.

When you do, you’ll notice that everything you know is a word.

This gives you instantly…

  • More options
  • More power
  • More leverage
  • More value anywhere

Which is excellent because things have changed.

Companies now want people who are masters of words, as opposed to victims of words.
They want out-of-the-word thinkers.

There is unlimited upside for word-masters. And little downside.

The road to happiness

To imagine the road to happiness is a road isn’t imagination.

It’s a mistake. Because the choice to be unhappy or happy is permanent, available not only to you but to everyone.

You don’t make choices.

You make decisions.

Happy is no exception that no other word or word-user can decide for you.

Once you decide, it instantly makes you happy no matter what with what you are and aren’t, with what you do and don’t do, and with what you have and don’t have.

Happy is a word.

Decide your words well for they become your destiny.

The fish the sharks avoid

In the pool of social media, insecurity is the greatest shark.

For this reason always remember that you are free to decide how you use your energy and time — regardless of what social media says or does.

Instantly makes you the fish the sharks avoid.

Side note:
Not certain about the difference between choice and decision? Choices are infinite while decisions are finite. Your choices outnumber your decisions an infinite number to one.

Tired of the straight line

Are you tired of the straight line?

For many word-users in modern times, the straight line means internet and social media on a handheld device.

And many are tired of it because the straight line provides more reasons than anyone can handle for feeling not good enough about things you supposedly lack non-stop, day and night, 7/24.

You shall never feel good enough if you continue to have an emotional reaction to everything that is said to you by other word-users, the internet, social media, or your handheld device.

Because when words control you, everything and everybody can control you.

That’s beyond the shadow of a doubt, not a good place to be.

If that’s you, feeling not good enough will follow you like your shadow.

You can change that in a heartbeat by leaving the word-user behind and becoming a word-master instead.
