When words got invented 13750 years ago…

Article content

…nothing communicated with words.

For that to happen, words and word-users had to be invented first.

So in the beginning, 13750 years ago, the world saw two firsts — the first word and the first word-user.

At least that’s what I think for I wasn’t there and the witnesses are gone.

What specie of animal was the first word-user? Was it female, male, a mix between the two? Do we descend from an ancestress or from an ancestor? No-one alive today knows.

The best we can do today is presume that 13750 years ago, whatever it was wished for more —for more words and more word-users too.

Also that nothing alive 13750 years ago had any idea that 13750 years later we’d be drowning in more words and word-users that anyone handle — billions of them with no end in sight.

The result?

13750 years later…

  • A word by any other word is a word.
  • Everything you know is a word (If it weren’t, how would you know it?).
  • Everything else you have a word for is word.
  • Words are what you respond to 7/24.
  • Words are how you aim at what you’re looking for.
  • To say of two words they are identical is nonsense.
  • To say of one word it is identical with itself is to say nothing.
  • Call words a dream doesn’t change anything.
  • “In the beginning is the word.” – Word-masters
  • “What a word means, a sentence cannot say.” – Ludwig Wittgenstein
  • “Words are all we have.” – Samuel Beckett in his 1969 Nobel Prize for Literature acceptance speech.
  • “Using words to talk of words is like using a pencil to draw a picture of itself, on itself. Impossible.” – Patrick Rothfuss

The internet, made exclusively of words too, is now our electronic superhighway busy with turning our brains into popcorn, complete with popcorn’s attention span too.

Words are a prison.

Call them a dream does not change anything.

And none more hopelessly enslaved than those that falsely believe they are free of words.

How it all began — with words — has been kept from them by word-masters that rule them with lies, feeding them on falsehoods till wrong looks right in their eyes.

On the upside, even a prison is a home when you have the key and I can show you how.

Takeaway

The invention of words revolutionised evolution.

Worth reading again: The invention of words revolutionised evolution.

Despite this — for reasons known only to our governments and school boards — the story of words continues not to be told at school. (I also know why but that’s a different story altogether, for a different day).

In the wordless world

The wordless sun, energy, fire, air, earth, water, atoms, cells, plants, mountains, valleys, oceans, stars, moons and the wordless animals — to name a few that never attended school — refuse to communicate with words not just since the last 13.8 billion years but to this day.

If that doesn’t makes you wonder what the wordless know that we ignore, that’s not taught at school, what will?

In the wordy world

The world’s most successful lie ever told has worked for thousands of years and is still told at schools as we speak.

Because of that, only a few word-users don’t believe the most successful lie ever told anymore.

But the majority of word-users suffer because they respond to words emotionally. To them I say breathe and allow the words to pass — in other words, use the space between words and your response.

All it takes to change everything is you must use different words. But this is not optional, use different words you must do. The rest is technique. How so? Send me an email to beat@schindlersword.com
