Newsletter #38 states that you DO believe one thing or the other, that the only option not on offer is not to believe anything.

Today, wordexplosion #39 looks at another thing…

…you also do not do alone for it takes team work and standing on other word-users shoulders.

You DO BETTER

Good news: Our ancestors’ relentless pursuit of better has paid off!

Thanks to which we are now the most evolved specie ever.

Practically speaking, we’re able to accomplish tasks of extraordinary complexity.

The days when the average age was 30, the flue killed 50 million people, and it took weeks to travel from one continent to another are nothing but artifacts of the past now.

It also means we eat other animals but no other animal eats us.

We’ve arrived on the top of the food chain.

Nothing else on Earth even comes close.

Or so we love to think.

What happened?

Well, this is what happened:

In the 4,649,986,250 years since Earth was invented, only five inventions got invented.

But that’s not all. It also took these five invention billions, hundreds of thousands, and tens of thousands of years to get invented.

In the wordless world

During the first 100% and 4.65 billion years since the invention of Earth, the energy, fire, air, earth, water, atoms, cells, plants, wordless animals, mountains, and valleys coexisted and survived without a day at school, hence without words.

For us word-users that are at war since the invention of words, this is difficult to believe.

How did the wordless manage to coexist and survive together without words?

Could the wordless know something not taught at our schools, something we ignore?

Difficult for us to believe, also known as mystery.

In the wordful world

In the meanwhile wordful world, 13,750 years ago — 4,649,986,250 years after the invention of Earth — the word got invented.

This happened when the age was stone, the Sahara green, Northern Europe under 1-mile-thick ice.

Though the word got us started with being the only word-using animal specie on Earth, there are meanwhile 9 billion of us and counting with no end in sight.

The invention of the word revolutionised evolution

The invention of the word revolutionised evolution because during the first 99.9997% of the time since the invention of Earth, only a grand-total of five inventions got invented.

During the most remaining 0.0003% of Earth-time, every other invention you can think of got invented. For an incomplete list of every other invention you can think of, check out https://go.schindlersword.com/aL3gGv

Of course, all post-word inventions have been made possible only thanks to the invention that started it all, the invention of the word.

We do better

The invention of the word got us to the top of the food chain and our relentless pursuit of better has continued since then unabated.

Never have more word-users lent a hand, worked together to save what must be, cared for each other, and have more time for word-users that need more than society allows them.

At war

We behave like animals because that’s what we are — the only animal that use words.

This explains why we’re at war not only against each other but also against the wordless which we love to mistake for nature.

The goal of peace is little disputed,.

How to achieve it all the more so.

By the time we will have won either the war against each other or the war against nature, whichever comes first, we will have lost.

That means it’ll be the end of us and words.

Though we won’t be around to witness it anymore, we can at least imagine ahead of the time the wordless party and celebrate our demise.

WORD-USE

Decide to use your words wisely because they become works.
