The previous word explosion #19 focused on what everybody’s talking about,
#20 now returns to my newsletter’s standard topics of YOU, WORDS, WORD-USE & ELECTRIC QUOTES, especially on the relationship between YOU and WORDS, the only relationship you’ll ever have.
But before we dive straight into it without further ado, allow me a quick note about how I got started with words.
It began in 2016.
If my math is correct it’s now 9 years ago that I discovered — in a flash of light out of the blue that electrified me to the end of my days — that I could trust my eyes again.
In this moment to remember forever and a day, I saw what I was looking at are words, for the first time since I spoke my first, which changed me more than my birth.
When you see words for what they are, you cannot unsee it again.
The freedom I had previously only known the limits of is too good to be true.
I hope you can get a taste of it by what I’m happy to share with you below.
Let’s go.
YOU
Just like the world’s meanwhile 9 billion other word-users — and counting — YOU ARE an animal that uses words.
In every other aspect — how you eat, drink, eliminate, procreate, and communicate, to name a few — your behavior is that of the world’s 9 million different species of wordless animals that remain forever too many to count even for us, the animals with words.
It’s not only about you. To the contrary, we’re all in this together.
WORDS
Words — the gift you’re meant to use like it or not — are a prison.
But even a prison is a home when you have the key.
You arrive wordless in the prison of words after you learn each from your parents, siblings, friends, preachers, teachers, or smartphones, between the ages of 1 to 6 (average), to shortly before your last breath.
I’m not one to make up new opinions
The invention of the word and word-users revolutionized evolution.
Words possess zero energy, that is less energy than the neutrinos, the ghost particles. In other words, words don’t matter (the one that matters is you, the word-user).
No machine or instrument can detect a word in a word-user.
Words defy “e=mc²” and therefore our understanding of how the universe works.
Words don’t do anything. To believe otherwise presupposes words have the organs required.
Words are void of organs (the one with the organs required is you, the word-user).
Words are void of meaning (the one that gives meaning to words is you, the word-user).
A word is in the beginning of everything.
Words create everything.
Everything you have a word for is a word.
Everything you know is a word.
A word by any other word is a word.
You, reality, gods, and everything else you have a word for included.
Words are the stimulus you respond to.
Expressed in a simple formula: “Words=Stimulus”
Words are how you aim at what you’re looking for.
Words tend to get mistaken for evidence.
Word-users frequently treat them that way.
Word-users don’t know the difference between a word that genuinely happened and words that never happened.
The only thing that matters to word-users is the word is true.
Words sit on your nose as glasses. Everything you look at you see through them.
To most word-users, it doesn’t even occur to take their word-glasses off.
Words not only change what you see but how you see.
Words don’t describe the world, only how you see it.
Words are the limits of your world.
When you see words are the limits of your world, you cannot unsee it and words cease to be the limits of your world.
The story of words isn’t told at school.
Words aren’t taught at school.
The word-masters know since the beginning of words that in the beginning is the word.
Everything marketing knows, it knows from the word-masters’ marketing of words.
Words control you or you control words. There is no in-between.
When you have an emotional reaction to everything said to you, that means words control you and everyone else can control you.
When you ignore what words do to you, you have no empathy for what words do to others.
A word or words can be denied only by confirming it, that is by using it.
Word-users love to use their words.
When you change how you look at words, you change. And your world changes too.
Call words a dream doesn’t change anything
Calling words a dream makes no difference.
WORD-USE
Words are mistaken for language is how it usually works.
But mistaking a word for another only goes to show the word-user in question doesn’t know the first thing about either.
YOU HAVE TWO CHOICES
You can believe the above.
Or you can believe what’s taught at school, then copied by internet and repeated by smartphones and social media.
WHAT TO BELIEVE…
…is a question of character, experience, and personal preference.
To each their own.
YOU DON’T MAKE CHOICES
The two choices above exist before you were born and remain after you’re gone.
YOU MAKE DECISIONS
Your decisions are a question of character, experience, and personal preference.
To each their own.
THE KEY TO BREAK FREE OF THE PRISON OF WORDS
Recall the child you were before it hasn’t learned a word yet.
Forget the word of what you’re looking at.
Once you get rid of the notion of words, you acquire a great many wonderful new freedoms.
How you respond to words is all up to you. No other word-user or word can respond for you.
Words control you or you control your words. There’s no in-between.
ELECTRIC QUOTES
“In the beginning is the word.” – The word-masters
“What a word means, a sentence cannot say.” – Ludwig Wittgenstein
“Using words to talk of words is like using a pencil to draw a picture of itself, on itself. Impossible.” – Patrick Rothfuss
