HOW TO KNOW WHAT THE STORY OF WORDS GIVES YOU?
The story of words gives you ownership of words.
All it takes is for you to decide to give words a chance.
When you decide, blame and excuses will be a thing of the past.
And when things don’t go according to plan, you own every word, the ability to respond, too.
The power to change direction will be back to where it belongs.
You’re the captain of the ship.
Scary.
Yet liberating as hell.
Side notes:
- Decide you must for no other word can make the decision for you.
- “Ships in harbor are safe, but that’s not what ships are built for.” – John Shedd
Yes, I, captain of my ship, am on the way to… what ever will be… decisions are made during the trip
Hello Marie-Claire, I hear you loud and clear. However. I also understand that you may be mistaking decisions as the captain of your ship, or decisions in general, with the decision to own your words. With hindsight, I agree. “When you decide to own your words, blame and excuses will be a thing of the past” would have been clearer than “When you decide, blame and excuses will be a thing of the past.”
